Highway

Highway is a Carrier Identity platform built for brokers and 3PLs. It verifies who a carrier is, detects double-brokering and fraud, and pushes the verified profile into the TMS. Connected to Cargofy, a carrier's state in Carrier Network follows Highway's verdict, and every rate confirmation is checked before it leaves. Carrier procurement switches it on with the IT admin, because setup runs through Highway's implementations team.

Verify a new carrier before the first booking

A dispatcher creates a carrier in Carrier Network for a flatbed load from Houston to Phoenix. Cargofy pushes your carrier ID, DOT and MC number to Highway on creation. Highway's first webhook returns the packet, insurance, payment terms and the rules assessment. A digital worker maps Pass and the onboarded status to Enabled on the profile, and the dispatcher books the load.

Hold a rate con going to the wrong inbox

The carrier on the phone gives an email that does not match the one on record. Before the rate confirmation leaves Cargofy, the digital worker runs Load Lock on the recipient. If Highway returns red for an unknown domain or a fraud signal, the worker holds the rate con. The dispatcher sees the red flag on the load in Load Hub, calls the number on the verified profile, and sends the rate con to the real carrier. Load Lock vets the recipient, not the load or the rate.

Keep do-not-dispatch carriers off the board

A carrier that passed last month is flagged do not dispatch after a double-brokering report. Highway sends the webhook, the digital worker sets the carrier to Blocked in Carrier Network, and the assignment rules refuse the next load. A dispatcher who tries to tender to that carrier in Load Hub sees the block and the reason on the profile.

Keep insurance and factoring current

Payment terms change, a factoring company is added, a policy renews. Highway sends each change by webhook as it happens, and a weekly full sync refreshes the whole base for anything missed. The digital worker applies the overwrite rules agreed at setup, which decide whether an update replaces the attachments, contacts and insurance on the profile. The AP clerk sees the current factoring company in Carrier Network before the invoice arrives.

Fetch the onboarding packet for an audit

An auditor asks for a carrier's packet from six months ago. Cargofy read it through the persistent packet endpoint into Documents when the carrier onboarded, so procurement opens the profile and hands it over.

Disable a carrier that needs a fresh packet

When Highway reports "needs to onboard" for a carrier whose packet lapsed, the digital worker sets the carrier to Disabled in Carrier Network. It drops out of assignment until the new packet arrives and the rules assessment passes again. The dispatcher sees the status and reason on the profile and picks another carrier for today's load. When Highway reports the carrier onboarded, the worker sets it back to Enabled.

Carrier Network stays the system of record for who you dispatch; Highway is the source of identity and compliance. Cargofy writes only the carrier ID, DOT and MC number on creation, and does not edit carrier identity data inside Highway. It reads packets, insurance, payment terms, factoring, connection status, rules assessments and Load Lock results. Setup is per installation: the token and endpoint go through Highway's implementations team. Status mapping, sync jobs and overwrite rules are configured for your account, on a timeline agreed at scoping.
