Allen Lund Company

Allen Lund Company is a US freight broker founded in 1976. It runs truckload, LTL, intermodal and expedited freight, with a heavy produce and refrigerated book. Approved carriers see its loads on the ALC load board and handle the rest in the carrier portal and app. Connect the load board and those loads appear in Load Hub with your email and exchange loads. The dispatcher who holds the ALC login usually switches it on.

Set the reefer return lane once

A six-truck reefer fleet delivers produce into Dallas twice a week and runs back toward the Rio Grande Valley empty. The dispatcher sets an auto-search in Load Hub: Dallas to McAllen, reefer, up to 20 t, Wednesday to Friday. A digital worker reads the ALC load board under the fleet's own account, matches each new load against the search, and sends a notification when one fits. The load card opens with lane, dates, equipment and the ALC load number filled in.

Catch a fresh posting early

An ALC rep posts a load at 07:40. It reaches the Load Hub table within the same refresh cycle, in the same columns as a load emailed by another broker. The dispatcher sorts by deadhead, sees the ALC load is 40 km from a truck that is unloading, and moves on it while others are still calling.

Book with confirmation

The dispatcher picks the load and clicks book. The digital worker prepares the booking request under the fleet's Allen Lund account, with truck, driver and dates, and shows it for review. The request is sent after the dispatcher confirms. ALC answers on its side, and the rate confirmation arrives the usual ALC way. In Load Hub the load moves from open to requested to booked.

Run the load in the ALC Carrier app

After booking, the load runs on ALC's tools. The driver installs the ALC Carrier app, which tracks and traces the load with geofences at pickup and delivery and lets the driver message Allen Lund. In Load Hub the load stays on the same timeline as every other load that week.

POD, invoice and payment on ALC's side

At delivery the driver uploads the POD and the invoice from the ALC Carrier app. The dispatcher checks payment history, terms and direct deposit in the ALC carrier portal. Fleets that factor use the Alchemy Factoring portal ALC partners with. The dispatcher marks the load delivered in Load Hub, and the weekly view shows what the ALC lane paid against the fleet's other lanes.

How it fits your stack

Your Allen Lund account stays the account of record. Onboarding happens on ALC's side first: vetting through Highway, then the application in the ALC Carrier Portal with your DOT number, a W-9 and a certificate of insurance showing USD 100,000 cargo and USD 1,000,000 auto. You need at least six months of active authority. Cargofy reads the loads your account is entitled to see and sends booking requests under that account; you confirm every booking. Cargofy does not send status updates to ALC. Tracking, POD, invoicing and payment stay in ALC's app and portal. Load data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt).

Who it is for

Owner-operators and fleets of 2 to 100 trucks, reefer and dry van first, running produce and food lanes across the US. Fleets with six months or more of authority that are approved with Allen Lund get the most from it on day one.
