Microsoft SharePoint

Microsoft SharePoint is where shipper teams on Microsoft 365 keep contracts, rate sheets and carrier files, often one library per customer or carrier. Connected to Cargofy, every document that finishes in Documents is written to the right folder under the load number, and a digital worker can pull a file from the library onto a load. The ops lead usually switches it on with the SharePoint site admin.

File the POD without anyone touching it

When the driver's POD lands in Documents, the digital worker writes it to the library and folder mapped for that carrier, named by load number. The file is in place the day the load delivers, with no download and rename step. The AP clerk finds it by searching the library for the load number, and the same name works a year later.

Keep the rate confirmation next to the invoice

When a carrier signs the rate confirmation for a load, a digital worker writes the signed file from Documents into that carrier's folder, named by load number. When Finance issues the invoice for the same load, the worker writes it into the same folder under the same number. At audit time, the AP clerk opens one folder and sees the booked rate and the billed amount side by side.

Give a worker the contract it needs

A digital worker pricing a lane or checking a carrier's terms may need a contract that lives only in SharePoint. It reads the folder listing, finds the file by customer or load number and attaches it to the load. Dispatch sees the contract on the load, and the original stays in the library where legal keeps it. The worker sees only the libraries your admin granted.

Hand the customer a complete shipment file

A customer asks for the paperwork on a shipment: BOL, POD, invoice. Each document was written to that customer's folder under the load number as it finished in Documents, so the set built up while the load ran. The customer service rep checks the three files are there and sends them from SharePoint. A year later, the same folder answers the auditor.

Show who filed what and when

An auditor asks who filed the POD for a load and when it arrived. The ops lead opens the load in Cargofy and reads the log: every read and write through the connection is recorded with the load, the time and the user or digital worker that ran it. The entry shows the worker filed the POD on delivery day into the carrier folder, and the file sits in SharePoint under the load number.

How it fits your stack

SharePoint stays the system of record for paperwork; Cargofy files into it and reads from it. It writes finished documents from Documents into mapped libraries and folders, and reads the files and folder listings a digital worker needs on a load. Setup is per installation: your admin issues credentials in your own Microsoft 365 account and names the libraries Cargofy may use. It runs through Cargofy's n8n layer. Files are not mirrored in bulk; a document moves only when a load or a worker action needs it.

Who it is for

Shippers, forwarders and 3PLs on Microsoft 365 that treat the SharePoint library as the shipment file. Customer service and AP clerks work from the library, dispatchers see the same documents on the load, and the IT admin owns credentials and library access.
