Magellan Transport Logistics

Jacksonville-based 3PL and truckload broker with a daily public load board and 60,000 contracted carriers. Loads you are approved to haul appear in Load Hub under your Magellan Transport Logistics account, matched to your auto-search, ready for a booking request.

Magellan Transport Logistics is a Jacksonville, Florida broker and 3PL. It moves truckload, LTL, intermodal and expedited freight across the United States and Canada and posts its open freight on a daily carrier load board. Connected to Cargofy, those loads appear in the same Load Hub table as the loads from your inbox and your freight exchanges. The dispatcher who opens the board every morning usually switches it on.

What teams use it for

Set a return lane once

A truck delivers in Atlanta on Thursday and needs a load back toward Jacksonville on Friday. The dispatcher sets an auto-search in Load Hub: Atlanta to Jacksonville, dry van, pickup Friday, weight under 20,000 kg. Cargofy checks the Magellan board under the carrier's own account on every refresh. A matching load lands in the table, and the dispatcher gets a notification with lane, equipment and dates without opening a browser.

Catch a load early

Magellan posts new loads through the day. A load that matches an auto-search appears in Load Hub within the refresh window, with the pickup and delivery windows and the deadhead from the truck's last stop worked out. The dispatcher checks the numbers against the fleet's floor rate and decides in under a minute. A load that fits goes to the digital worker.

Request the booking, confirm it yourself

The dispatcher marks the load, and the digital worker sends the booking request to Magellan through the carrier's account, with the truck, driver and MC number Magellan has on file. Magellan's rep answers on their side, and the load in Load Hub moves to requested. The booking is final only when the dispatcher confirms it in Cargofy; a request the fleet no longer wants is withdrawn the same way. A confirmed load carries its status and the rate confirmation in the same row.

Onboard once, see loads under your own account

A fleet new to Magellan starts on Magellan's side. The owner registers through Magellan's carrier packet on MyCarrierPackets, meets the insurance minimums listed there, and passes Magellan's carrier screening. After Magellan approves the fleet, the dispatcher links the Magellan account in Cargofy settings, and the loads the fleet is entitled to see appear in Load Hub under that account.

Run the load the way Magellan expects

Magellan's truckload operation works on direct dispatch contact and driver touchpoints at pickup, arrival and completion, with satellite tracking on its side. In Load Hub the load moves to delivered when the dispatcher closes it, so the fleet keeps one timeline of its Magellan loads next to everything else it ran that week.

How it fits your stack

Your Magellan account stays the account of record. Cargofy reads the loads your account is entitled to see and sends booking requests on your behalf. The dispatcher confirms every booking, and Magellan's rep confirms it on their side. Onboarding, screening and insurance checks happen with Magellan first, through its carrier packet. Status updates, PODs and invoices go to Magellan through its own dispatch and accounting, and Cargofy does not write them back. Load data is stored in the EU, in Frankfurt.

Who it is for

Fleets of 2 to 100 trucks running dry van, reefer, flatbed or step deck across the United States and Canada, and owner-operators who want Magellan's daily board in the same view as their other freight. Hazmat-certified drivers get a look at loads Magellan lists for that equipment.
