Vantix Logistics

Food-industry 3PL in the McLane group, running US, Canada and Mexico freight through a MercuryGate carrier portal. Tenders and spot loads offered to your approved Vantix account appear in Load Hub, matched to your auto-search, ready to accept or bid.

Vantix Logistics is a 3PL in the McLane group that specializes in food and time-sensitive freight across the US, Canada and Mexico. It has no public load board: approved carriers get load tenders and spot market loads in a MercuryGate carrier portal. With your Vantix account connected, the tenders and spot loads offered to you appear in Load Hub next to your email offers and exchange loads. Reefer dispatchers approved with Vantix switch it on so tenders stop waiting behind a separate login.

What teams use it for

Cover the reefer backhaul

A reefer runs Dallas to Denver every week, and the dispatcher wants Vantix freight on the way back. They set an auto-search in Load Hub for the lane, reefer equipment, weight and dates. Cargofy reads the spot loads and tenders the fleet's Vantix account can see and adds the matches to the table with the rest of the board. A Denver to Dallas spot load posted on Tuesday shows in Load Hub with a notification.

Answer a tender while it is open

Vantix tenders a Thursday produce load out of McAllen to the fleet. Since the account is approved for it, the tender is read into Load Hub when the portal shows it, with the same pickup, delivery and equipment details. The dispatcher checks the appointment times against the truck's hours and decides before the tender ages out.

Bid on a spot load through the digital worker

For a spot market load without a set rate, the dispatcher enters the rate the fleet wants. On the dispatcher's confirmation, a digital worker places the bid through the Vantix portal, the action its spot market bidding guide describes, and records it on the load in Load Hub. Vantix answers through its portal. On an accepted bid the dispatcher moves to booking; on a miss the load stays on the board for another bid.

Accept the tender and keep one record

For a tender the fleet wants, the digital worker sends the acceptance under the fleet's Vantix account. The dispatcher confirms in Load Hub before it counts, and Vantix's confirmation follows through the portal. The load shows as booked with the Vantix reference and sits in the fleet's portal account too, so office and driver work from one record. From there the load runs on Vantix's process.

Run it on Vantix's tools, from tracking to accessorials

Vantix tracking runs on its own site, behind a login. If the driver waits three hours at the receiver, the office raises the accessorial request through the Vantix portal, which has a step for that. At delivery the office marks the load delivered in Load Hub and files the POD with Vantix as its agreement requires.

How it fits your stack

Your Vantix carrier portal account stays the account of record. Cargofy reads the tenders and spot loads that account is entitled to see and sends acceptances and bids under it; the carrier confirms every booking. Tracking, paperwork and pay stay on Vantix's side, while Cargofy keeps the booked load and its history. Approval happens with Vantix first: an application with MC and DOT numbers, a DOT safety rating of Satisfactory or None, and insurance at Vantix's minimums, including USD 2,000,000 combined liability and USD 200,000 cargo. Data is stored in the EU, in Frankfurt.

Who it is for

Reefer and dry van fleets from a handful of trucks up, approved with Vantix and running food and produce lanes in the US, into Canada or across the Mexico border. Large fleets get one more feed in the auto-search they run.
