Gurtam Wialon

Gurtam Wialon is a SaaS GPS and telematics platform that exposes unit positions, sensor telemetry, trips and reports over its HTTP Remote API. Connected to Cargofy, every load on your own trucks shows a live position and an ETA in Tracking. Geofences at pickup and delivery set the status, and ignition and motion sensors show when a truck is sitting. The fleet manager of a shipper that tracks its vehicles in Wialon usually switches it on.

Live position on every truck you own

A grain load from a silo near Ternopil to the port of Constanța is assigned to one of your trucks. Each Wialon unit is mapped to a vehicle in Cargofy, so when the truck is assigned, the load picks up the unit's last reported position, speed and motion status. The dispatcher sees where the truck is in Tracking without matching it on the Wialon map by memory.

Arrived and departed from the geofence

Cargofy writes geofences for each load's pickup and delivery points to Wialon and checks entry and exit. When the truck enters the port's fence, the load changes to arrived; when it leaves, to departed. The driver does not confirm anything and the dispatcher makes no call. Customer service reads the status in Tracking and forwards it with the timestamp the fence recorded.

Detention from the ignition sensor

At the port the truck stops inside the delivery fence, the ignition goes off, and the motion sensor stays flat for the rest of the shift. A digital worker opens a detention record on the load with the fence timestamps and the ignition reading. When the transport planner raises the delay with the terminal, or the AP clerk reviews the carrier's claim, the evidence is on the load in Tracking.

Fuel and mileage per load for cost review

At month close, the lane rate review for Ternopil to Constanța comes up. Cargofy runs the fuel and mileage reports configured in Wialon for each trip on the lane and puts the rows on the loads in Reports. The controller reads fuel and kilometres per load, not a fleet average, with no spreadsheet export from Wialon. The rate review starts from cost per trip.

Rebuild a trip when a claim comes in

A receiver disputes the delivery time on a load from three weeks ago. Cargofy pulls the GPS message history for that period from Wialon and rebuilds the route trace with the trips and stops Wialon detected. If the trailer has a temperature sensor, its readings come along. The claims handler sees on the load in Tracking where the truck was, when it stopped and what the sensors read.

How it fits your stack

Your TMS stays the system of record for orders. Units, sensors and report templates stay configured in Wialon, and Cargofy reads them as they are. Cargofy reads positions, GPS history, sensor values, trips and reports, and writes only geofences for pickup and delivery points. It does not send commands to devices. Setup is per installation: your Wialon user generates a token and enters it in Cargofy settings, then Cargofy maps units to vehicles and names the sensors for your account. The timeline is agreed at scoping.

Who it is for

Shippers in Europe and Asia with a private fleet on Wialon. Dispatchers watch positions and detention, transport planners use ETAs and trips, finance reads fuel and mileage, and the IT admin owns the token. Third-party carrier trucks are not covered.
