Armada

Pittsburgh-based 3PL running managed freight for foodservice chains, buying capacity from a SmartWay-certified carrier network. Loads Armada offers you appear in Load Hub under your Armada account, matched to your auto-search, ready for a booking request.

Armada is a Pittsburgh-based supply chain provider running managed freight for foodservice chains and their suppliers: truckload, LTL, intermodal, drayage, dry and temperature-controlled. For its clients it selects carriers, negotiates rates, runs day-to-day operations, and audits and pays freight bills. Carriers in its network are SmartWay certified. Connect your Armada account and the loads Armada offers you appear in Load Hub with your email and exchange loads. The dispatcher who holds the login usually switches it on.

What teams use it for

Set the dedicated lane once

A twelve-truck reefer fleet runs from a distribution hub near Romeoville into Wisconsin restaurants and comes back light. The dispatcher sets an auto-search in Load Hub: Milwaukee to Chicago, reefer, up to 20 t, any weekday. A digital worker reads the loads visible under the fleet's Armada account, matches each against the search, and sends a notification when one fits. The load card carries lane, dates, equipment and the Armada reference, so the dispatcher does not have to open the portal.

Pick up offered loads early

Armada makes a load visible to your account at 06:30. It lands in the Load Hub table in the same refresh and the same columns as loads from email and exchanges. The dispatcher sorts by pickup date and deadhead, sees the load is 30 km from a truck that finishes unloading at 09:00, and moves on it without waiting for a rep to call around.

Send a booking request and confirm it yourself

The dispatcher chooses the load and clicks book. The digital worker prepares the booking request under the fleet's Armada account with truck, driver and dates, and shows it for review. When the dispatcher confirms, the request goes to Armada, which accepts or declines on its side. In Load Hub the load moves from open to requested to booked, and the driver's week is planned around it.

Run the load to the shipper's standard

Armada tracks on-time pickup and delivery closely for its clients. A booked load runs on the tracking and paperwork channels Armada agreed with you at onboarding. Load Hub keeps it on one timeline with every other load that week, so the next pickup is planned before this one delivers, and a late truck shows up in time to warn the Armada rep.

Review what a client lane pays

At week's end the dispatcher opens the fleet view in Load Hub. Armada loads sit next to broker and exchange loads with the same fields: lane, equipment, dates, booked rate. The fleet sees which dedicated lanes fill the schedule and where the return leg stays empty, then adjusts the auto-search for next week. The record of what was booked stays in the Armada account.

How it fits your stack

Your Armada account stays the account of record. Carrier selection, onboarding and paperwork happen with Armada first, on its side. Cargofy reads the loads your account is entitled to see and sends booking requests under that account; you confirm every booking before it is sent. Only search and book are written back. Cargofy does not write status, POD or invoices to Armada: tracking, POD, invoicing and payment stay in the channels Armada gives its carriers. Load data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt).

Who it is for

Reefer and dry van fleets of 5 to 100 trucks running food and foodservice lanes in the US, approved in Armada's network and SmartWay certified. Owner-operators on a dedicated Armada lane use it to fill the return leg from one table.
