DocuSign wraps a document in an envelope, routes it to signers by role and returns a signed PDF with an audit trail. Connected to Cargofy, the rate confirmation goes out from the load, the driver signs the POD on a phone, and the signed set lands in Documents. Dispatch usually requests it; the DocuSign admin creates the integration key.

Get the rate confirmation signed before the truck moves

A shipper books a new carrier on a Chicago to Dallas load. The digital worker generates the rate confirmation from the load, creates the envelope from your rate confirmation template with the carrier dispatcher mapped as signer, and sends it from your DocuSign account. The carrier signs on a phone. The completed event arrives over DocuSign Connect, and the load shows signed within seconds. The dispatcher no longer exports a PDF, emails it and chases the signature by phone.

Onboard a carrier with a signed agreement

The carrier manager approves a new carrier and starts onboarding from Carrier Network. The digital worker builds the envelope from your carrier agreement template and maps the roles to the carrier, the shipper and, where one is involved, the broker. Signature, initial and date fields are placed by anchor text, so they do not depend on page layout. As each party signs, envelope and signer status (sent, delivered, completed or declined) read into Documents, and the carrier manager sees who has not signed yet.

Sign the POD at the dock in Load Hub

The driver arrives, the receiver checks the pallets, and the POD needs a signature. Cargofy generates an embedded signing URL, so the signer opens the POD inside Load Hub and signs there. The signed combined PDF and the certificate of completion download into Documents against the load, and the load moves to invoicing with the delivery evidence attached.

Turn an accessorial or claim into a signed form

Detention, a damaged pallet, a shortage: claims stall while the form waits for the right signatures. The digital worker fills the accessorial or claim form from the load, the parties and the event, sends the envelope and tracks its status. When it completes, the signed PDF is attached to the load next to the POD and the rate confirmation, where the claims handler sees the whole file.

Prove who signed what during an audit

Six months later, a customer disputes a charge or an auditor asks for the documents on a lane. Every envelope sent from Cargofy came back with the signed combined PDF and DocuSign's certificate of completion, both stored against the load. The AP clerk or auditor filters Documents by customer and period and finds the rate confirmation, the POD and the claim form with signers and timestamps.

How it fits your stack

Your DocuSign account stays the system of record for envelopes and signers; Cargofy holds the load and its documents. Cargofy writes envelopes, documents, signer lists and field positions. It reads envelope status, signer status, the signed PDF and the certificate of completion, with completed events pushed over Connect. Setup is OAuth with an integration key your DocuSign admin creates. Envelopes sent from DocuSign outside Cargofy are not imported.

Shippers and brokers on any continent who sign rate confirmations, carrier agreements or PODs with DocuSign. Dispatchers send documents from Load Hub, customer service and claims handlers watch status in Documents, and the IT admin owns the integration key.
