Knight-Swift (KNX Logistics)

Knight-Swift is the largest full truckload carrier in North America. Its logistics arm, KNX Logistics, runs a carrier load board for third-party carriers with freight from all Knight-Swift brands, plus access to more than 10,000 branded trailers for power-only work across the US, Mexico and Canada. Connected to Cargofy, the loads your account can see appear in Load Hub next to your email and exchange offers. The dispatcher who runs power-only or reload lanes usually switches it on.

Set a power-only search near the trailer pool

A fleet with three tractors near Dallas wants to pull Knight-Swift trailers and avoid deadheading. The dispatcher sets an auto-search in Load Hub: origin within 150 km of Dallas, power only, pickup in the next two days. Load Hub reads the carrier load board under the fleet's own Knight-Swift account and matches new posts. Each match comes as a notification with lane, dates and trailer requirement, so there is a shortlist before the tractor is free.

Catch a reload while the driver unloads

At 11:20 the driver is at a receiver in Memphis, and a Knight-Swift load posts out of Memphis for the afternoon. The auto-search fires. The digital worker checks the load against the driver's position and hours in Load Hub and marks it as a fit. The dispatcher reads the pickup window and posted rate on the card and confirms, and the digital worker sends the booking request through the fleet's account. The request goes on the load's timeline with a timestamp.

Book and assign the truck

When a booking request comes back accepted, the load moves to the booked column in Load Hub with the Knight-Swift reference, stops and appointment times. The dispatcher assigns the tractor and driver from the same card, and the assignment goes out from Load Hub.

Attach the trailer with FreightBox

At the drop yard, the driver uses Knight-Swift's FreightBox to scan a QR code and attach or detach a Knight-Swift trailer in minutes. That step happens on the Knight-Swift side. Load Hub keeps the load record with the reported trailer number, and the dispatcher marks it delivered when the run closes.

Get paid through Knight-Swift's channel

The POD comes in. Knight-Swift documents a payment partnership with TriumphPay for carriers, and fuel savings through its Iron Fuel Program at more than 2,500 locations. The dispatcher files the POD with the load in Load Hub, then submits the invoice on the Knight-Swift side as its carrier terms require. The week's booked list in Load Hub works as the checklist: every load needs a POD on file and an invoice out.

How it fits your stack

Your Knight-Swift carrier account stays the account of record. Cargofy reads the loads that account is entitled to see on the carrier load board and sends booking requests under it. You confirm every booking. Onboarding happens on the Knight-Swift side first, through Highway: operating authority for at least 12 months, a Satisfactory or Not Rated safety rating, auto liability of USD 1,000,000, cargo cover of USD 100,000, Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration, a W-9 and an NOA if you factor. Setup is per fleet, on request. Load and account data is stored in the EU, in Frankfurt. Trailer attach, status and payment stay in Knight-Swift's own tools, and Cargofy does not write status to Knight-Swift.

Who it is for

Owner-operators and fleets from one tractor up, especially those running power-only, dry van, reefer or port and rail drayage lanes in the US, Mexico and Canada. Carriers with authority younger than 12 months do not pass Knight-Swift's own bar yet.
